Mobile Web

• Can I chat on my phone?

  Absolutely. If you have purchased the unlimited Mobile Web product, you can access any chat sites available for your phone.

• Can I access my AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo Email from my phone?

  Yes. You may access any website/web mail site that is available. In order to do so, however, you must purchase the unlimited Mobile Web product.

• Is the Mobile Web content filtered? How do I protect my child from going into adult web sites from his/her phone?

  No. Mobile Web is unlimited and unrestricted access to the Internet.

• Is Mobile Web supported on non-Pocket sanctioned handsets?

  Phones that are reprovisioned to work on Pocket's network, but that are not sold directly from Pocket Communications corporate retail locations are not supported should you choose to subscribe to the unlimited Mobile Web service.

• Can I have mobile web on my phone?

  If your handset has a web browser option, you are able to add this feature to your account. You may contact customer care, to find out if your handset has this option.

• Does Customer Service support “Internet Applications” like email, web mail, FTP (File Transfer Protocol), etc.?

  Pocket's Customer Services will not be able to support "Internet Applications". However, this does not mean they will not work. If you have problems accessing the Internet as a whole, we will help to fix the issue(s).

• Is the Internet on my phone, the same as on my computer at home?

  That will depend on the web site you are browsing. Some sites are optimized to fit on the screen of a cell phone, thus making the experience seem different than on your home computer. Not all web sites are optimized, though. If this is the case, the page may display incorrectly and some images or links will not display.
